Sometimes properties use a customized Yardi interface to enter and store resident data. This can cause confusion with data exports to 3rd parties (such as Mobile Doorman), because the Yardi API only works through the main tenant interface, or default interface.
The main tenant screen in Yardi has a tab called, "Personal Info," as shown in the screenshots below. 3rd parties such as Mobile Doorman are only able to import cell phone numbers and emails from this location. Although phone and email may be correctly filled out in other areas of Yardi, unfortunately the data is not automatically filled out in the default, main tenant area. Until a staff member has also entered the information in the Personal Info tab, our import will not be able to pick up the information. The roommate can be harder to find on the main tenant screen, as you have to click the "Data" tab from the primary resident in order to see the roommate interface and enter the email and phone for the roommate. This is also shown in the screenshots below.
When the data is entered into the Personal Info tab on the main tenant screen, our import should pick up the data within 8 hours, or you can ask email@example.com, and we can check for you that the data is being picked up.
